After many years of dreaming and planning, St Francis Cottage has broken ground and almost finished with the framing stage of construction.  Projected to open in early 2017, this "built from the ground up" bed and breakfast in Chattanooga will be home to seven bedrooms, a large comfortable, inviting common area, a wrap around porch, a large covered rear porch and deck, many beautiful gardens, a small event space, a fully equipped conference room, and, of course, scrumptious, hearty breakfast fare.

When relaxing in our urban cottage themed facility, located on 2.3 highly wooded acres, you might think you were out in the country, but you'll be in the middle of everything: eight quick miles from downtown Chattanooga; 2 miles from the largest mall in East Tennessee; less than an hour from great hiking climbing, rafting, kayaking; and only minutes from the many attractions and events in the heart of the city.  "Away from it all in the middle of everything."

Whether you are traveling north or south, we are located only 1.4 miles from Interstate I-75 and 3.6 miles from Interstate I-24.  if you happen to be arriving by plane, we are also less than 5 miles from the Chattanooga Regional Airport.

This is not your granny's Bed and Breakfast.  Since we are located in the first Gig City, all rooms in the Cottage will have high speed (1 Gb) wired internet access, as well as 100K wireless login ability.  All rooms will have HD flat screen TVs with a Blu-Ray player and Netflix access, as well as over 80 local and national TV channels.

The B&B will cater to a variety of clients including visitors to and participants in local sporting and cultural events; corporate travelers and organizational retreats; guests visiting relatives at home or in assisted living facilities.  St Francis Cottage will also offer an extensive garden space for small, special outdoor events.

Project coordination and the bulk of construction are being handled by the Chattanooga office of America’s Home Place, a national builder of custom homes with financing provided by Andrew Johnson Bank, Cleveland, Tennessee.  We will provide additional support for a variety of rustic decor and technology-based additions to the structure.  The City of Chattanooga/Hamilton County Regional Planning Agency along with a wide array of local businesses have contributed to the process, including Asa Engineering, Campbell & Associates Engineering, PCM Fire Protection, Division One Security and Stone's Heating and Air, to name a few.

The adjacent three-acre lot features a 2 bedroom, 2 bath house (St Michael's Cottage) that will be available as a vacation rental for up to 6 individuals, including families.
